Fishing

Two main seasons in French Polynesia atolls of Tuamotu:

Austral summer months of December to May, with Alizées mostly from East North East
Austral winter from June to October. East to South East

The sun is much stronger in the Atolls: eight hours per day with a range of temperatures of four degrees.

You can fish all year round depending on weather conditions. The best chances are statistically November to June with preferences in November, March, April, May, June

Fishing is done on the flats while walking.

The main catches are: Bonefish, Blue Trevalley, Triggerfish. Other tropical fish such as grouper, Napoleon, Job Fish get caught in deeper waters.

Fishing in ambush works well on the flats.

Different options are offered :

Option 1:
Two to three days on an atoll, housed in a bungalow and quick access to local flats boat in the lagoon.
Option 2:
A week or more, travel by Offshore on several atolls, housed in bungalow and hotel room.
A unique formula in the world of saltwater fishing.

Ps. Parallel Activities: Scuba diving in local clubs, birdwatching, visits to the extraordinary atolls.
Option 3:
Guiding on private yachts. Preparation of a fishing program and choice of good anchorages in cooperation with the Captain.
