Climat in French Polynesia is a maritim tropical climate hot and humide but with no excess and where the storms are rare. Lets not forget that the Ancient called her the new Cithere an her paradise islands.
In the Tuamotu we can say that there are two seasons. The rainy season from December to March the Austral Summer and the dry season from July to October, the Austral Winter.
The sun is more marked in the atolls: eight hours a day. The main winds are East wind, North East and South East with the Maaramu wich can blows 25 to 30 nuds in Winter. Amplitude of the temperature in the atolls is about 4°. |

Fishing season is mainly during the Austral summer from November to March. This is the period of time that we can see most of the fishes interesting most of the fliyers. BoneFisch , Emperer, Jack Fish, Grouper, and Tuna, Dog fish Tuna, Maï Maï, and Sail Fish, without counting the reef fish starving on the popper.
The program is based on a week with six rods maxi. The choice of the fishing areas is based on three atolls according of the Broadcast.
BoneFisch practicing is walking in the flats following the wild bays of the motus.
Not necessary walking to much because according with the tides they come to you coming in or out form the passes. It is forbidden to release attention because their furtive shades can desapear as quick as they come. They can be as group or big alone. |

Emperer, Jack Fish, Grouper, are fished around coralheads that we reach in the lagoon, while we slowly move with the dinghy.
Fishing on the reef is very exiting, and the variety of fish is very important. But take care to the sharks and the coral which are also very interested.

According with the broadcast we can also if ordered try the Maï Maï or the sailfish on a fly hunting with a Potemarara (A local speed boat) with our local fisherman.
My program is not imposed and can be done "à la carte"in a reasonable way.
It is of course evident that we practice here the catch and release as soon as the fish is in good health to recover.
